Corne Cronje

“You can change to fit”

Corne Cronje is an experienced graphic designer & an emerging visual artist. He has been drawing and painting all his life but started exploring a more commercial approach in 2016. Since losing his job during the pandemic he started taking on more commissions.

Corne is a multi-disciplined artist/designer and his art is a manifestation of his journey and his vision of the world. While the organic aesthetics of Mother Nature are the main influence of his work, within his art you will notice that he also draws a lot of inspiration from pop culture as well as African culture and wildlife. When creating his artworks, he mostly relies on his own reference material and takes hundreds of photographs when travelling throughout South Africa.

No matter the medium or subject matter, traditional art or digital art, his art is an expression of what he believes and his experiences in life. Some of his pieces might be considered to be "dark & edgy", but he believes there is a balance in everything around him.

Drawing and sketching with his wacom on Photoshop forms the basis of most of his art. He loves loose line work and adds intricate detail to his pieces. Corne always pushing himself harder as an artist and enjoys every minute of his creative journey. His work takes dedication and time but is well worth the wait at the end. We encourage you to explore his work. His IG is @pennyblackarts.
